Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya WHO ta ce kasar Namibiya wadda ke yankin Kudancin Afrika ce ƙasa ta farko a nahiyar da ta kawar da yaɗuwar cutar HIV da Hepatitis B tsakanin uwa zuwa ga ɗanta.

WHO ta ce haka kuma ƙasar ce ta farko a duniya wacce take da yawan irin wannan matsala da ta kawo ƙarshenta.

Hukumar ta lafiya ta bayyana hakan ne cikin wata sanarwa da ta wallafa a shafinta na intanet a ranar Litinin, inda ta ce Namibiya ta ceto yara 28,000 daga kamuwa da cutar HIV tun daga shekarar 2010.

Nasarar da ƙasar ta samu ya biyo bayan matakin samar da hanyoyin gwaji da maganin cutar HIV cikin sauki ga kowace mace mai ciki, shirin da a cewar WHO ya yi sanadin rage kashi 70 cikin 100 na yaduwar cutar tsakanin uwa da ɗanta a cikin shekaru 20.

WHO ta ce a shekarar 2022, kashi 4 cikin 100 na jarirai da iyayensu mata ke ɗauke da cutar HIV ne kaɗai suka kamu da cutar.

“Wannan wata babbar nasara ce da Namibiya ta samu wanda ke nuna jajircewar jagoranci da kuma aiwatar da tsarin kiwon lafiyar al’umma wajen ceton rai,” a cewar daraktan WHO a Afirka Dr. Matshidiso Moeti

Hakazalika, an yi wa kimanin kashi 80 cikin 100 na jarirai allurar rigakafin cutar Hepatitis B akan lokaci.

“A ƙasashe da dama muna gazawa wajen samar wa ƴaƴanmu hanyoyin samun magani bai ɗaya da muke samarwa iyaye da sauran waɗanda suka manyanta,” in ji Anne Githuku-Shongwe, daraktan UNAIDS a yankin Gabashi da Kudancin Afirka.

“Namibiya ta yi yaƙi da wannan rashin adalci kuma muna alfahari da ita tare jinjina gagarumin ƙoƙarinta na ƙin barin ko wane ɗa a baya. Ta zama fitila ga ɗaukacin yankin,” in ji Githuku-Shongwe
